Good evening from Los Angeles!

We arrived safely at O’Hare Airport at 3:25pm Central Standard time after an 11 hour flight from Narita. We have about a 4 ½ hour layover before we take our connecting fight to Los Angeles at 8:25pm this evening. Fortunately, we can relax in the Flagship lounge, have something to eat and drink while watching “Sponge Bob.”

My wife and I are currently relaxing in the JAL First Class Lounge at Narita Airport. Once again I am enjoying an after lunch café latte and some shortbread cookies for dessert while attempting to stay awake before our flight to Chicago.  Although it can be quite challenging for at times to fly as often as I do between the U.S. and Japan one of the benefits of traveling so many miles in a year is having access to the airport lounges! It’s a great place to catch my breath, have a bite to eat and relax before my flights.

We are departing on American Airlines Flight#154 for Chicago at 5:45pm this evening arriving into Chicago at 3:25pm the next day or the same day depending on how you look at it. Then, we have a connecting flight departing at 8:25pm and arriving into Los Angeles at 10:45pm. We will stay in Los Angeles for a couple of days sharing time with our family, visiting Las Vegas for a few days with family members and returning to Tokyo around September 28^th.

It’s about 1:02am and I have finished my preparation for my departure for the United States of America at 5:45pm later this evening and it’s time to catch a few hours of sleep before I have to leave.
