IZUMO TAISHA (IZUMI GRAND SHRINE)

Good evening from Miyoshi-shi, Hiroshima, Japan!

I hope that all is well and you are all finding a way to enjoy each and every precious moment of your gift of life no matter where you are and what you are doing this summer!

Today we drove from Tottori Prefecture to Shimane Prefecture where first we visited Matsue Vogel Park and the Izumo Grand Shrine in Shimane Prefecture. Matsue Vogel Park is composed beautiful gardens and a bird sanctuary with species from all over the world. Izumo. Also located on beautiful landscaped grounds the Grand Shrine is considered one of the oldest and important Shinto shrines in Japan.

Our Journey started with a flight from Tokyo Prefecture to Hiroshima Prefecture. Then my wife’s parents drove us from Hiroshima Prefecture to Tottori Prefecture, next to Shimane Prefecture and eventually back to Hiroshima Prefecture. We are flying back to Tokyo tomorrow morning after a most enjoyable vacation thanks to my wife’s parents where I had an opportunity to visit to of Japan’s most treasured cultural properties.

That’s all for now! Please take care, stay positive and have an enjoyable evening and summer!
