Yesterday (August 11, 2009), for the second time in two days an earthquake shook my apartment in Tokyo, this time waking me up at 5:07am! This time it was a 6.5 magnitude earthquake with it’s epicenter in Shizuoka prefecture.

Coming from California I thought I was used to earthquake, but I learned it’s not true. Living in Japan has given me a different perspective about earthquakes since the earth never seems to stop shaking here! It helps me to appreciate just how precious every moment of life really is and I do not want to waste even one moment!
