Good afternoon! I am currently at home relaxing and reflecting on my life! I was thinking about a question that I have been asked many times in my life.

I have dedicated my life to service. I have been involved in volunteer work and community service since I was in elementary school. My awareness began when I was a child and I witnessed my parents who were always engaged in our community helping other people.

It started back in Second Grade when a small group of my classmates and I would volunteer to help our other classmates who were reading at a slower pace improve their reading skills so that our class could progress faster.

I was involved in service throughout my elementary school years, in Junior high school in high school and as a university student. In graduate school I joined co-ed community service organization called Alpha Phi Omega that I stayed actively involved in for over 16 years.

 As a part of my life I make it a point to do something for someone else every day of my life. Many of the people that I know and others I come in contact with often ask me, “Why are you so kind to other and why are you always doing things to help people?” Why am I involved in doing service, it’s simple, I only have until the rest of my life to give my life away!
